Autoimmune encephalitis is a rare but potentially life-changing illness in which antibodies damage healthy brain cells. It can present with wide range of neurological and psychiatric symptoms, from seizures autonomic instability to depression anxiety (1). also mimic schizophrenia other psychotic illnesses Since the 1950s, an array causative autoantibodies has been identified (1), NMDA receptor (NMDAR) antibody type most consistently associated psychosis (2).
